Who is Linette?

Who is Linette?

Hello, hello,

But who is Linette? Perhaps you have seen this slipper on our site, but you certainly do not know the story behind Linette! :)

My darling Bonne-Maman

The slippers Linette is first of all a tribute to my Bonne-Maman and Bon-Papa as her name was Line but he called her Linette… The simple fact of hearing this name automatically brings me back to the years where I hear her answering ‘Oui, Jacques!”

I just had to create a pair of slippers for her… but this is complicated as each time we want to pay tribute to someone, we are tempted to exaggerate. We add and add just to make sure we do not forget anything… And we realize that it is not so easy, especially when the person is part of your family, close to you, so admired, that has given the passion for fashion, shoes, materials and luxury to 2 generations.

So I asked myself this question: “ Who was my grandmother? What did she represent to me? It is like a perfume, I wanted to extract the essence…

Who was she?

She was a very discreet women, but with a lot of character and she loved colors. I can still see her walking through the garden picking some roses to make nice bouquets in yellow and pink.

Nice diners were also a part of her pleasures in life, as my grandfather, she loved to entertain the family and friends around a big table, enjoying those moments, in a very simple way.

She closely followed up the fashion trends, it was her passion and she was always fashionably clothed with elegance and taste.

Materials were of great importance to her, and for her shoes, she preferred nappa, calf leather and laminato. She was part of the generation that could not imagine to come home and not change her shoes for comfortable, chic and beautiful interior shoes!

All of this inspired me to create the mule Linette, simple but chic, not too many accessories, made out of nappa in pastel colors and silver and platine laminato.

Definition of Linette

An elegant, timeless mule, always trendy and fashionable. Only what is chic survives the different waves of fashion.

I hope you love this slipper as much as I do.

Talk soon.

Emmanuelle, grand-daughter of Linette and Jacques Loup.
